List your business freeHook-ups are one of the main things touring guests look for, and they let you charge more for a pitch. Some suppliers here make the bollards and pedestals. Others are electrical contractors who design and install the whole supply, from your meter to each pitch.
In the UK, the wiring on a caravan or camping park has its own section of the wiring regulations (BS 7671, section 708). It covers things like each socket's own RCD protection and where the points go. Whoever installs them should know that section well and give you a certificate when the work is done.
Before you choose, ask:
- Have you put in hook-ups on campsites or caravan parks before?
- How many pitches can my supply run, and do I need an upgrade from the network operator?
- Can the points take card or token metering, if I want to charge for electricity?
- What testing and certificate do I get, and how often does it need repeating?
