Booking links, QR codes and widgets

Share your booking link and QR code, add a Book button on Google, or put booking on a website you already have.

Updated

Take bookings from anywhere you can share a link, or from a website you already have. Whichever you use, every booking lands in the same calendar.

Go to Share & embed. Along the top are five ways to share:

  • Booking link: for Facebook, Google, a sign at the gate
  • Floating button: a Book button on every page of your own website
  • Availability checker: in a page, beside your own words
  • Date bar: a slim strip for a sidebar or header
  • Full booking page: calendar, pitches and checkout in one

Not sure? Which should I use? at the bottom of the Booking link tab helps you choose.

Your booking link and QR code

Under Booking link, tap Copy link to copy your website’s address, which has booking built in. Straight to booking gives a link that opens the booking page itself.

Tap Download QR code to save a code to print for your noticeboard, so passing tourers can book on the spot. Other good places for the link are your Facebook page’s Book now button, your Instagram bio, and your email signature.

Your Book button on Google

So people who find you on Google Search or Maps can book with you:

  1. Sign in to the Google account that manages your campsite, then search Google for your campsite’s name.
  2. Choose Booking. In the Google Maps app, choose Edit profile, then Booking.
  3. Choose Add link, paste your booking page (use Copy link under Your Book button on Google) and save. If there are other booking links, choose Set preferred link and pick this one.

Google doesn’t offer Booking for every campsite. If you can’t see it, make sure your profile’s website is one people can book on.

Add booking to your own website

  1. Choose Floating button, Availability checker, Date bar or Full booking page.
  2. Under Look, choose the Colour, Font and Corners to match your website. For the floating button, also choose its Position, the Button text, and whether to Show your lowest price.
  3. Under Add it to your website, pick Any website, WordPress, Wix or Squarespace and follow the steps shown.
  4. Tap Copy code and paste it in. The floating button goes in once and shows on every page; the others go where you want them on the page.

Use the Desktop and Phone preview to see how it looks first.

Good to know

  • Changes to the look go live straight away, without pasting the code again.
  • Not comfortable with code? Tap Email these instructions to whoever looks after your website.
  • If you use your own web address, your booking link uses it too. See Using your own web address.
  • Only the site owner or a manager can change how the widgets look.
