Editing your website
Change your website’s pages, sections, words and photos, use click-to-edit in the preview, and see when changes go live.
Updated
Your website is built from your details, and you change its pages, words and photos in Website. There’s no separate “publish” step: everything saves as you go.
Getting around the editor
Open Website. On a computer, the settings are on the left and a live preview, What guests see, is on the right. On a phone, switch between the Edit and Preview tabs.
The settings come in five steps: How it looks, Pages, Sections on your pages, Web address and Analytics. Tap one to open it. For colours and fonts, see Your website’s look.
Click to edit in the preview
With Click to edit chosen above the preview, click a heading, a button, a price or a section, and its settings open on the left. Tap ← All settings to go back. Choose Try it to scroll and use the booking form as a guest would, and switch between Computer and Phone to check both.
Pages
Every website has a Home page. You can add About us, Stay, Gallery, Find us, FAQ and Contact, each with its own address.
- Open Pages and tick the pages you want.
- Tick In the menu at the top for the ones you want in the menu, and use ▲ and ▼ to change the order.
- Tap Edit to change a page’s title, its title and description in search results, and a short intro.
A page with nothing on it stays hidden, and says what it needs: the Gallery needs two or more photos, for example. A page you switch off puts its sections on your home page instead.
Under A page for a pitch type, you can give something special, like a shepherd’s hut, its own page with a Book button.
Sections, words and photos
In Sections on your pages, tick the sections you want, move them up or down, and tap Edit to change the words and photos. The top photo and the booking section are always shown, so guests can always book. Changed a section’s heading, or the small line above it, and want ours back? Tap Put back the original words. A section’s main text is your own words, so there’s no original to put back.
Pick your main photo in Top photo and welcome. Add more in Photo gallery with Add photos, order them with ▲ and ▼, and describe each one for people who can’t see it. Photos must be under 5 MB.
Prices, pitch photos and the booking form come from Pitches & pricing, so they’re always up to date.
When guests see your changes
Before you go live, only your team can see the website. Once you’re live, every change shows straight away. The label at the top says All changes saved or Live on your website; if it says Not saved, check your connection.
Good to know
- After you change the layout, colours, pages or sections, an Undo button shows for five seconds.
- Moving from another website? Bring your website over copies your words and photos across.
- Only the site owner or a manager can open and change the website.
