Your guest guide

Set up the stay page guests get for every booking, with directions, the gate code, Wi-Fi and local tips.

Updated

The guest guide is everything guests need for their stay, such as directions, the gate code and the Wi-Fi, on a stay page of their own. You fill it in once, and every guest sees it with their own booking details.

It’s switched on to start with. If you can’t see Guest guide in the menu, switch it on in Settings, under Features.

Fill in your key details

  1. Go to Guest guide.
  2. Under Key details, fill in your Gate code, Arrive from and Leave by times, what3words (without the ///), Wi-Fi network, Wi-Fi password and Your phone number. Leave the phone blank to use your website number.

These are used across the guide and the emails, so you only enter them once. Everything saves as you type, and changes go live straight away.

Choose your sections

Under Sections are Getting here, Your pitch, Site map (when you use the site map), On site, Site rules, Your dog, Wi-Fi, Round here, Leaving and In an emergency.

  • Tap Edit to change a section’s heading and words, then Done.
  • Use the switch to show or hide it, and ▲ and ▼ to change the order.
  • Tap Add a section for anything else, or Delete this section to remove one.

Some sections fill themselves in. Getting here adds your postcode, what3words and gate code. Your pitch shows the words you write for the pitch type each guest booked. On a glamping site, or one with huts, pods or bell tents, guests see it as Your place. Your dog only shows when a dog is added to the booking. If your website lists facilities or site rules, On site and Site rules use those lists, which you change in Website. In Round here, tap Add a place to recommend pubs, walks and days out. Those places can also show in the Nearby section of your website.

The preview on the right shows the Guest stay page as you type. When you have a guest due, Open guest view opens their real stay page.

What guests see

Each booking has its own stay page on your website. The booking emails link to it with a View your stay button. Guests can also find it at /portal on your website with their booking reference and email.

  • While a booking is still a request, the page says so. If their card payment is held while you check them, it says how much is held on their card, that it isn’t taken until you confirm, and that it’s released if you can’t take them.
  • The gate code shows from the day before arrival, once the stay is confirmed.
  • The Wi-Fi password shows once the stay is confirmed, with a Copy password button and a code to scan to join.
  • Once guests are on site, Wi-Fi and On site move to the top.
  • Events on during their stay show under What’s on, if you use events.
  • After they leave, only Round here and In an emergency stay on the page.

Good to know

  • The Emails tab lists the automatic emails guests get. Change their wording and timing in Messages.
  • The Extras tab shows what guests can add to their stay. Change extras in Pitches & pricing.
  • A stay page stops working 90 days after the guest leaves.
  • Only the site owner or a manager can change the guide.
